After trying other convenience products which are on the market; there is quite simply nothing as tasty as homemade "Proper Porridge" ... Until Now! We understand that our busy lives may mean we no longer have time to make dishes from scratch. At Proper Porridge we have provided the solution to this, by making our porridge just as you would at home, with 100% real milk, oats and a hint of sugar. All you need to do is pop it in the microwave for less than two minutes, you can enjoy your breakfast 100% fresh, no mess!

  • Porridge has a lower level of GI (approx. 58) when compared to most well known breakfast cereals. As can be seen from the table below-

GI is a ranking of carbohydrates on a scale of 0 to 100 depending on how slowly energy is released from food. Therefore the lower the GI, the slower energy is released; keeping you fuller for longer.

  • Our four delicious flavours, all follow the Traffic Light System; which let consumers know at a glance if the food has a high, medium or low amount of fat, saturated fat, sugars and salts. The Original and Porridge & Cinnamon are both green; while the Porridge and Honey & Porridge & Dates are amber, however this is down to natural sugars in the ingredients.
  • Proper Porridge has no artifical flavours, colours or preservatives.
